Overview
Sigvane is a hosted webhook inbox for GitHub. It receives webhook events, verifies their signatures, and stores accepted events so your agents, workers, or automation workflows can read them later.
Use Sigvane when you need to process GitHub webhooks but cannot or do not want to expose a local service, CI worker, private app, or internal automation endpoint to the public internet. Instead of opening ports or running a reverse proxy or tunnel, send GitHub webhook traffic to a Sigvane inbox.
How it works:
- 1. Unique Inbox: Each inbox has its own dedicated webhook URL and signing secret.
- 2. Automatic Verification: Sigvane verifies GitHub signatures and drops invalid or malicious requests.
- 3. Secure Storage: Accepted events are stored for later consumption.
- 4. Internal Retrieval: Your private workers fetch the events from Sigvane when they are ready.
